I believe in:

• Meeting the needs of all residents regardless of any attribute including age, race, status, gender, religion, views, preferences, and/or any other difference

• Actively searching for and implementing materials, services, and programs that are relevant, educational and enriching to all patrons

• Recognizing that our differences - and respecting the differences of others- “unites and educates us”

• Keeping community archives that include records and stories from all residents - especially those that may be less visible

• Seeking out those that may feel marginalized, forgotten or unwelcome

I know:

The building, books, equipment, resources belong to EVERY member of the community.

This is every patron's place to learn, to ask questions, to explore, to connect, to become.

I envision:

The library as the center of the community. A place where people go to find answers, make connections with information, technology, resources of many types and most of all with each other.
